The Wilkes University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a long-time supporter of the Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corporation. A SBDC business consult will travel to Lehighton to meet with individuals (by appointment) who are either interested in starting a new small business or who currently own a small business and need assistance with some facet of their business.

The SBDC assists individuals who are contemplating starting a new business by assistance in researching your idea, writing a business plan, preparing financial projections, inter-facing with government loan programs, environmental issues, licensing, registration and much more.

Existing businesses can turn to the SBDC for guidance in marketing and sales strategies, additional research, environmental concerns, disaster preparedness and human resource issues.

Most importantly, the SBDC services are FREE of charge!
